WOLREC, WE-EFFECT present new project to Dedza District Executive Committee

The Women's Legal Resources Centre (WOLREC) and the WE-EFFECT team, led by WOLREC Executive Director Maggie Kathewera Banda, have presented a new project titled 'Women’s Land Rights' to the Dedza District Executive Committee.

The project, which seeks to address structural drivers of poverty, gender inequality, and food insecurity affecting marginalized women in both patrilineal and matrilineal communities, has since been approved by the Council.

WOLREC, in partnership with We Effect, will implement the project in Dedza from 2026 to 2028 with funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
