WE EFFECT

The project aims to contribute to the empowerment of women in Malawi by promoting gender transformative approaches. Through the use of the Star Circle Approach and Village Savings and Loans, WOLREC is working towards creating a more just and equitable society where women can thrive.

Objectives

• To promote more equitable access to financial services and capital for women

• To strengthen women’s social movements for advocacy

• To empower women and communities address Gender Based Violence

• To facilitate Gender transformative changes at household and community levels

• To support We EFFECT’s partners in implementing Gender transformative interventions.

 

Expected Outcomes

• The enabling environment is strengthened to promote more equal and equitable access to financial services, business development services.

• Increased mobilization and collective action of women at local, national, regional levels

• The enabling environment has a zero tolerance policy of Gender based violence.

• Women are supported to lead transformational change at household and community level

• Women are supported to lead transformational change at household and community level.
